I began the afternoon by spotting storms in the southern section of Dallas County. I followed one cell eastward to near I-35 then headed south to intercept a tor-warned cell in Ellis Co. near Waxahachie,TX.
As I exited I-35 to 287 I witnessed a brief funnel, possibly a tornado but not sure as I didn't see a complete condensation to the ground.
After watching for a bit I headed further south on I-35 and stopped on the southbound service road along with several other spotters and chasers.
Another brief funnel was witnessed as the storm crossed over I-35.
As construction hindered making any headway going east from the interstate I was forced to continue south to Italy then east on 34.
The storm again treated me to another brief funnel near Bardwell Lake.
As other obligation prevented me from continuing with the storm I made my way to 287 then to the I-45 interchange. There, the left lane of northbound I-45 was blocked by an 18 wheeler that had been blown over in the storm. The driver luckily escaped unharmed.
